Other ways to scan

When a URL scan is refused, or you would rather it made no requests at all.

Bot protection, login walls and JavaScript-only interfaces stop the walk, sometimes at the first page. Paste mode is the way through, and it is the only mode that never touches the target site.

Before you run a URL scan.

Paste a page.

Rendered locally with every network request blocked, so nothing at all is requested from the target site. Because external stylesheets are never fetched, type size and element positions are reported as undetermined rather than guessed.

Without this, signals that depend on linked terms are undetermined rather than guessed.

The visual-prominence pass runs on these, since it cannot run on unstyled markup.

Where do you have subscribers?

Findings are scoped to the frameworks you select. Rules for the states you leave out are still evaluated and still shown in the report, collapsed, so you can see what widening your coverage would surface before you widen it.

Only specific states

The demo fixtures.

Local pages built to pass cleanly, to fail partially, to fail badly — and one whose checkout is mechanically defective, for the checkout-health checks. They are fake merchant sites, not real businesses, and they are the fastest way to see what a report looks like. A pre-generated report from the “bad” fixture needs no scan at all.

The fixture buttons post to the same endpoint as the scan form, so they ask for the same credentials. The sample report needs none.
