No attorney-client relationship

Using this tool, reading a report it produces, or contacting the people who built it does not create an attorney-client relationship with anyone. No lawyer has reviewed your circumstances, and nothing here is confidential or privileged.

No determination about any business

This tool does not decide, and cannot decide, whether any business meets the requirements of any statute. It records that particular signals were or were not observed on particular pages at a particular moment, and names the statutes those observations relate to. Whether a disclosure is “clear and conspicuous”, whether consent was validly obtained, and whether any requirement has been met are questions decided by courts and regulators on a full record. A finding is an observation, not an accusation. The absence of findings is not a clean bill of health — see limitations.

No warranty of accuracy or completeness

The rule matrix is demo-seed text drafted from public secondary sources. It has not been checked against primary statutory text by counsel, it may be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, and state automatic-renewal law changes frequently. The scanner's signals are pattern matches that will miss wording they were not written for. The visual pass is a model describing an image and is sometimes mistaken. The scan sees only what an unauthenticated visitor sees, on one path, on one day.

You remain responsible for your own compliance

Responsibility for meeting the requirements that apply to your business sits with you and with the counsel you retain. That responsibility is not transferred, shared or reduced by running a scan, by a report containing no findings, or by anything stated on this site. Consult qualified counsel before acting on anything in a report.

Automated observations only

No human being reviews a report before you see it. The pipeline is a browser, some pattern matching, some arithmetic, an optional model pass over screenshots, and a table of rules. Where it cannot see something, it says so. Where it can, all it is telling you is what it saw.
